Unlikely to be found in a guide book, the upcoming neighborhood is full of rough charm.

Getting There/Directions
Metro - Line 11 to Belleville stop

For a glimpse of Bohemian Paris, take a walk down the neighborhoods of Belleville. The area is a melting pot of various cultures, adding to the colors and caste. Belleville used to be a quaint village and it was annexed in the city of Paris in the 19th century. Belleville somehow has always attracted refugees from all over the world. Now, however, there is another group that returns its place. Artists and party animals.

All shops have been converted to art galleries and restaurants, and they are much cuter and cheaper than in other neighborhoods. Like most unplanned townships, the neighborhood has its own charm. The cobbled streets and the stores and old windows make great photographic material. When you come to Belleville, do take a stroll through the Belleville Park, and the view from some spots is just breathtaking. Of course you can see the Eiffel Tower and the big skycraper over there is the Tour Montparnasse. This is Cecile showing you Paris.
