I've been tempted to buy this helmet at Harley Davidson. Same helmet but with the HD decals.

After using my IS-MAX for under 100 hours, the flip up release mechanism started malfunctioning, such that I had to really yank on it to get it open.
Being under warranty, I took it back to my dealer who told me they would take the helmet and mail it away for repair.
A helmet is a very personal item (like underwear or a toothbrush) so it wouldn't due to be given a loaner. So, I am helmet-less until I get it back.
And that's what you get when you only spend $200.00 for a helmet!

i have this helmet and i really like it it looks really cool untill you put it on because its HUGE but the features are really nice, im now looking for speakers i can put in it any advice?

i just got this helmet for 179.99 and i think its awesome, it looks nice, feels comfortable...it does sit kinda high but overall i give it a 4/5

If u have a round head this helmet is uncomfortable. Good helmet though the visor works good and drops lower than others.

Agreed the HJC lineup is with continuity. Not sure of the direction fo the company as this is a good helmet in the space between the low / high end. Where are they going? Who knows. I do envision a time soon when folks won't pay $500 for a helmet and this might fit the needs. Great review.

Thanks for the feedback! I hear you on the $500 helmets, there are so many really nice <$200 helmets out there today, making it very difficult to justify spending more!
