Dude, its not employed in secret, people can do this stuff at home. If you use a tesla coil instead of this weak induction stuff, you can do this from larger distances. I've lit up a CFL from two feet, and if you want I'll tell you when I post the vid. Learn how to use RF frequencies in an air core resonance transformer instead of wasting your time on conspiracies, such as employing hundred year old technologies in secret when everyone with a brain knows how to do it.

its about as dangerous as a Radio, or a wifi Router, it uses the same types of waves, so unless they prove radios give you cancer then No.

it would be awfully interesting to drive around the country with that ipod and find out where there are chargers. I am quite sure this technology has been employed in secret for quite some time

I can't wait until they start putting wireless electricity in cars so that I won't have to plug in my cell phone and my GPS when they start to run out of batteries.
