The OKUMA MU-500VA has a full NC 5-axis simultaneous control system. MU is equipped with a high speed; high power 40 Taper 8,000 rpm spindle with a 15hp VAC liquid cooled integral motor. This model incorporates a high-speed 20-position automatic tool changer and 1574ipm rapid traverse, resulting in a powerful production capability. `Control is by Okuma's own patented OSP THINC Hi-Content control system which includes the patented OSP absolute position encoders which do not require a zero return
