Based on a true story, Broad Day follows several passengers on a Mumbai train as another passenger is raped. Filmed with a handheld camera, using amateur actors on the actual site, without rehearsal, Broad Day captures the passengers' reactions to an event that never seems to end.

Broad Day is featured in Global Shorts 2007, a collection of seven short films from the developing world that is included in the film series Global Lens 2007. Presented by The Global Film Initiative, Global Lens 2007 showcases nine feature films from emerging countries and tours within the U.S. through partnerships with major cultural institutions and theatres. wow this film just makes you so angry, the fact that no one did anything to help. i dont know how id react in that situation, so i can't judge but this movie just makes me very angry
