@lordmufasa Men can survive on that little of body fat, one of my friends has a bf% of 3 and he is very muscular and toned. My bf % is around 12-14 and I'm a female which is about the lowest you need to go to be considered healthy for a female. I'm a personal trainer.

also,when you are ready to maintain instead of losing weight, just add a LITTLE more HEALTHY fat to your way of eating. The protein and fat slow down sugars going through your body so they don't cause insulin to raise - when insulin raises it opens fat cells and deposits the fat in your body. But when you eat this balanced way, it doesn't trigger the insulin and helps burn fat instead. Good fats are not bad for your body in the right proportion. Too much fat, though & you won't lose the weight.

Way of eating called "The Zone" is great. It's a balanced way of eating that tells your body to burn fat. I lost 10 lbs in1week - eating this way + 45 min/day on a gazelle. NOT a diet,but "way of life" eating that gives more energy & burns fat. 1 hand protein(deck of cards size) 2 hands "good" veggies(or 1 hand if starchy/sugary veggies) + small amount good fat (olives/nuts)per meal and 6-8 glasses water/day. Eat healthy balanced meals & exercise-make sure to drink the water

IM skinny your saying that, even if people are skinny DO cardio and ab workouts to get them showing?
Also is it normal for them not to hurt after the workout?

well are they showing? its about bodyfat% not "skinnyness" some people think they are skinny when they are actually have a fair deal of fat, and their skeletal frame is just thin

it took me weeks to get abs i already had the really low BF% like in the 4-6% i just needed to work on them, but everything else is taking me forever to gain! all i see is strength i want mass! :(

how did you know your bf%? did you measure or just guess? cuz if you guess you were probably wrong, sorry. people cant really survive with a sub 5% bf%, its impossible to maintain that, you need some kind of fat reserves to live. the lowest "healthy" bf% that people will reach without being a professional body builder is like 6% or 7%, which is still really, really low.

The truth is that everyone has 6-pack abs. They just need to get their bodyfat percentage low enough for them to show. Working them makes them bigger. They can be huge but never show due to abdominal bodyfat.
