Donating Blood for the First Time!

Video on the Move...
Thick needle piercing into my soft tender skin. OUCH!
Like a vacuum cleaner, blood is sucked continuously.
I turn cold as my blood count got lesser than normal.
Everything starts swaying, eyes turn blurry. FAINTZ!
HAHA! My imagination got the better of me.
None of that happened. None... except...
THE BIG NEEDLE!
Thanks to a friend, I donated my blood for the first time!
Mathew Wong is the organizer of the blood drive event.
He encouraged friends and own parents to give blood.
Targeting first timers, the goal is to grow regular donors.
Donating your blood saves lives.
It can also improve your health.
All it takes is about an hour of your busy schedule...
and the courage to confront the BIG NEEDLE!
So how did I feel?
Painless!
Thanks to the pleasant assistants who distracted me.
Thanks to the beautiful neighbor who told a scarier story.
After filling a bagful, I was given a drink and told to rest.
What a great feeling it was! Very refreshing and rewarding!
Thanks to Dr York for holding my professional camcorder.
He held it really professionally. No shakes and quivers.

@sneakers55 Sounds rough. No anesthetic!

You lucky Singapore donors get a local anesthetic before the MAIN EVENT. In the USA, we have to rough it. The finger prick is the most painful, the main draw for me is less painful but I'm likely to cold sweat.
