  • @oliviapascu why is important he knows Barack Obama or Ehud Olmert even I don't care. He is not tell truth - earlier he make a lie about this song. He think only Christian can write song about Jesus, but also Jew can.

  • Not sure why there is this mean conversation below. Nick Cave wrote this song, this is a fairly new song from Dig Lazarus Dig. It is not a cover in any way. I love and respect Leonard Cohen and all of his poetry, but it's not Leonard Cohen's song in any way. Both are brilliant composers and performers. Nick Cave is highly influenced by Leonard Cohen and can often express himself in a similar fashion. If there is a Leonard Cohen version, post the link and be done with it. Until then, just enjoy!

  • @izaakbenjamin you are confusing this song with Leonard Cohens 'Jesus was a sailor'. Either way you obviously have no knowledge of either Nick Cave's or Leonard Cohen's work. Both of whom are perfect examples of some of the finest musicians and wordsmiths in the world today. Please have a knowledge of what you are opinionating before you broadcast your comments.

  • @curiousjapan This is not confusing - Leonard Cohen wrote the song.

  • Can we all just get back to talking about how awesome Nick Cave is and ignore the obvious troll?

  • @curiousjapan dont bother with izaak...he is retarded!

  • @izaakbenjamin "but shouldn't we say is Leonard Cohen's song?"

These are very confusing comments. If I understand correctly, no, I don't think we should, because Leonard Cohen didn't write it or perform it. Can you show me differently? If there is a version by Cohen, I would be interested in hearing it.

  • @Jnth007 Now you are speak with fork tongue. Originally you are denier of Leonard Cohen write this song, now you try to weasel out - but the recorded is on internet - you cannot disappear Leonard Cohen about this.
