Is there 1:1 pixel mapping with this device, or will it always stretch an image on a widescreen monitor?

No, because it's connected straight to the monitor and not to the computer.

dear friend. i just got the box9 yesterday and im using it on my 21" wide samsung monitor. I have problem with blurred display. i see you use lcd too. do you have the same problem? should i return it and get a usb version witch is more expensive? can i add drivers or something? it only uses VGA cable. my monitor has both digital and vga and my gpu has only digital (i think dvi called?) im using vista 64 bit. i got this just to connect my console. any help appreciated.

Translated into English... this is a great little TV box from AverMedia that allows you to turn your monitor into a TV and also allows you to connect a video source (DVD Player, Games Console etc.) to it. You then do not have to have your PC on to use it too. They now also produce a HD version with DVB-T tuner called the STB9 1080i. All good stuff!
