One of the most controversial programmes ever shown by the BBC, this Panorama (the BBC's flagship investigative journalism programme) eventually led to the resignation of its presenter Robert Kee who claimed it had been too one sided.

  • @rupertbrooks0 You dont get my texts? I told you 99% of argentineans dont burn nothing. Those are radicals and there everywhere including UK. I dont agree with that and i find that ofensive and not constructive. I am glad you guys have all you mentioned i guess we have some of that but for us a flag is important. But again i am not a radical and im not agree with burning anybodys nationals flag. All countries deserve respect even if they have mistakes or we dont agree with them.

  • @rupertbrooks0 We are very open too.As I said there more brits in the argentina mainland than in the malvinas. They enjoy very much.We are not obsessed. You just dont get our point of view. As i told you is like japan took over scotland and 2500 "japonese" vote to be japonese so scotland has more right to be japonese than british. To us is a national ofense. We dont have cultural icons like the Queen a things like that. What give us identity is our flag and our territory. Is like UK spit on our flag.

  • @rupertbrooks0 For a lot of people here the islanders are invaders or servants of the crown. They were educated their way and of course they are going to wish to remain british. Is like if you ask your kids to vote for you or your neighbor. But is time for UK to stand up like grown up country and stop hiding behind 2500 islanders. UK took that land without any referendum and also is part of UKs legacy the historical claim of argentina. UK likes to take what she wants but not the consequences.

  • @rupertbrooks0 Gibraltar: i already provided the deifinition of colony, referendum does not change the definition is still a colony.Cuba: I am not an expert in cuban history. I was in Cuba i have a few Cuban friends. For what they told me yes they didn t enjoy economic or politic freedom but they never told me that was that bad living there. And when i was there i saw people from the free world enjoying their goodies.Book on thomas cook and go there. 70% of the turist at my hotel were brits.

  • @rupertbrooks0 no we just laugh at there stupidity

  • @simeagarran Strange to see Argentinians burning our flag. Don't they know people here don't really care? The UK is very different from Agentina. Flag waving nationalistic, patriotism don't really exist. Patriotism tends to be non-political such as pride in the timeless beauty of the English countryside, in the long continuity of our ancient laws, liberties and institutions, in our great poets, playwright and scientists. in our ancient cathedrals and market towns. Compared to this what's a flag?

  • @rupertbrooks0Argentinians visiting the UK they also receive a friendly welcome. London is one of the most diverse, multi-cultural cities on earth. Argentinians will probably be surprised how unimportant the Falklands issue is. Even in the last few weeks its just one news story amongst many others. In Argentina the "Malvinas" is a national obsession. Not here. Most people probably couldn't find it on a map. It's only because I have an Argentinian friend that I have heard of "Las Malvinas".

  • @simeagarran Last night BBC flagship news program carried a report from Argentina on the feelings of ordinary Argentinians regarding the Falklands. Next week they will carry a report on the feelings of the islanders. So we in Britain do get to hear both sides. It was disturbing how little respect ordinary people in Argentina appeared to have for the Falklanders; with no regard for their democratic rights and wishes at all.

  • @simeagarran Are you serious? Cuba is a totalitarian dictatorship which has imprisoned, tortured and murdered tens of thousands of their OWN people! They have a history of supporting other vile Marxist regimes such as, Angola, Guinea-Bissau and Mengistu's Ethiopia. Thuosands of Cubans have risked their lives to flee the country on flimsy boats. The only wars NATO has been involved in are Bosnia, Kosovo, Afganistan and the Libyan revolution. Gibraltar chose to remain British in a referendum.
