Wild At Heart S6E06 Part4

Danny is called in to investigate when the routine transportation of a tiger goes wrong, and discovers Alice could be to blame for the animal's death. Meanwhile, Du Plessis resorts to desperate measures in a bid to save his home when the mining company announces plans to buy Leopard's Den.

@lolosh131 In some countries it's called "eminent domain." In South Africa it's "expropriation" -- when the government seizes private property in lieu of monetary compensation but without the owner's consent, either for government use or by delegation to a third party for public or civic use or economic development, supposedly for the good of the larger community.

@Carabin33fr Hahaha! Maybe a bit harsh, but it's how I felt at the time. Since then I've watched the series again and I feel less antagonistic toward Vanessa, but I still think she tried to manipulate Danny emotionally. She wasn't honest w/ him about buying the smuggled animals at cut rates, and then she wasn't entirely honest about her intention to take Afri-Spec's buyout. Danny is my favorite character, so I'm very protective of him. :)

Vanessa never got over that Danny chose Alice instead of her. Then she was cold toward Rowan and she humiliated him and brought out the worst in him. She wove her own web of lies and deception, with only brief glimpses of her good side. In the end she caved in to greed and weakness, and didn't even have the courage and gentility to say "goodbye." Good riddance. I wouldn't want her for a neighbor or a friend. Danny is exceptionally good-hearted to still consider her a friend.
