Wow! One of the other players here... I love your visualization tool.  Did you make that during the contest as an aid for yourself, or was that done postmortem for our benefit? I could see that being an awesome debugging/strategizing tool during the competition, but would have trouble justifying the programming hassle myself. Very impressive.

@CowTipperVirus I thought about doing it during the contest as well, but like you I didn't think it was entirely worth the effort, so instead I just printed sets of ants and the corresponding objectives to the debugging output and traced the paths manually to make sure everything was working as intended. I also occasionally printed ascii maps to debug my code as well, but this final visualization was done postmortem. Glad you liked it!
