When my eldest was a fussy newborn, this was the only song that calmed her down. She loves it still.

I would like to know the musicians in this version. This is not the recorded in Workin with Miles Davis quintet. In certains parts of the song sounds a bit like Bill Evans on piano but im not sure. If you know them GooseberryAJA, would be cool to share, if not thanks for posting anyway. I think this version is even more beautiful than the one recorded on Workin with MD quintet. Thanks!

@10Cnote ahh true. he is amazing

@carrotsandnutella Nah mate it's not a song but piece of music, damn he's good.

@calico992 You are absolutely right. Dolphy is one of the most underrated figures in history. Radical and influential. The man had so much to say in his short life.
-
it's the sparseness and restraint of the playing that makes it stand apart

Instead of Reoccurring shots of Dizzy and Charlie, I wish there was a shot of Eric Dolphy. I think he is arguably one of the top 20 most important figures in Jazz History. Pretty great tribute apart from that... If you don't know Eric Dolphy, go listen to Out to Lunch (album) or Gazzeloni (track) . He is the flutist. He also plays bass clarinet and Alto sax.

Beautiful. Love Miles Davis!

you can play the music technically perfect all you want... Give me Miles, who recorded a little something of himself into this piece... and gave it a soul.

I know this is a youtube cliche, but the 6 people who disliked this need to be sat down and talked to until they figure out what has gone wrong with their ears.

I first heard this rendition of this song in the film "Runaway Bride" with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, but had to go through a couple of different arrangements here before I found this one! So soulful and beautiful!
