here is the thing about legalizing weed when you legalize it you will take away all the gang wars, all the dealers and violence that are caused by marijuana and plus the government would spend less tax payer putting people in jail who are not criminals but every day people like you and me, plus legalizing weed might help the national debt, so please take that into consideration and legalize it!!!!!!!!!!!

The prohibition of Marijuana has created these criminal organizations. Criminal organizations that cost millions of dollars a year to 'fight' If Marijuana was legal we would not have people hiding in forests with guns, we would not have fatalities due to the war on drugs. Marijuana does not deserve to be in the basket with Heroin, and other Class 1 drugs. Prohibition is a failure. We need to find a new solution, and stop using the same old tactic that is proven to fail.

@Matty521521 The government doesn't make money off of it, they lose big time because the government (well tax payers) pay for the police. If there was nothing for the police to do then they wouldn't have to hire as many and therefore money would be saved. Legalization is in the governments best interest too.

Its not legal in cali dickhead. Did u not pay attention at all?¿? Federal law trumps state and city laws so our laws in cali dont matter. Tht means i can be arrested and placed in federal prison for going to a dispensary.

@elliesmellyjean I'd agree to a point though I'd take it a step further. I think pretty much ALL drugs should be legalized, heroin included. While I'm not inured to the dangers of it I still can't psychologically justify some big brother-like state stepping in and telling grown adults what they can or can't ingest into their own bodies. It should be CONTROLLED no doubt, but the prohibition on other drugs has failed just as pathetically as on pot and causes the same risks.
