I love the memory of Anna Mae Wong. I've been married to a Chinese woman for 38 years now. I admire the Chinese people I know--- manners, brains, striving for education, concentration on family.... Beautiful women..I'm lucky to have had such close contact with Chinese culture. My brother in law says I'm 51% Chinese myself...

There were two truly beautiful women in film, Anna May Wong and Louise Brooks, in that order. Ms. Wong is breathtaking and ethereal................ this video captures her appeal which is timeless. Thank you for posting it.

According to her autobiography Anna May went to Europe during the mid 1930s to make movies because shewas disappointed in not getting the movies she wanted. Like the lead part in the Great Earth. Louise Brooks did the same thing in the late 1920's.

Wow... I always loved this song by Billie Holiday but had no idea it had been composed for the magnificent Miss Wong. Now that I know it makes perfect sense.
Such a beauty could only inspire such a beautiful song.

Lyrics were crafted by the emotion of her lover Eric having lost her for the last time. 0:33 in the video is where their last stroll took place.
