A short demo of typing "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" on a blackberry and an iPhone. Totally non-scientific, but I thought it would be interesting.

I did about 2-3 runs on each and took the best. I'm a little slower on non-rehearsed text, but this is a pretty accurate representation.

  • you didnt type the quick brown fox juped over the lazy dog. you typed r twice on the iphone

  • There were probably more typos then that too, but it fixed them, and the text came out properly. That's the biggest key to typing fast on the iPhone, is making mistakes and letting it sort them out.

  • I've just gotten BB curve. Hands down the best phone I've had. Syncs online with exchange, calendar, tasks, contacts, it's reliable, you can get an extra battery for 10 bucks on ebay. It really is something else.

  • the iphone part made me lol

  • @sancjohn Good, You should upgrade it to bold 9780. :]

  • that;s a blackberry???? from when-1970s?

  • once you go iPhone, you never go back.

  • The speed test results may be different if you need to type the letter S. JK :-). You are missing the letter S in the pangram. the sentence is supposed to use jumps instead of jumped.

  • Someone was sat next to me on the underground a while back and the tapping sound his iPhone made while he was typing drove me to near suicide. Not really relevant I know, but hey. :)

  • Myth busted. :)

  • Well i think u should get the 8820. Im in the 8th grade i have the iPhone and i use it for texting and emailing. iPhone doesnt support bussiness email. It works with AOL, Gmail, .Mac, and some others. It works best with Yahoo though bc right now it is the only email client that works with push email.

    Hope this is helpful.

  • Blasphemy!! lol!
