  • You don't feel that styling gel pulls the hair out? I have always been afraid of it.

  • @pakunit: The gel I use doesn't flake or get hard. You just have to stay away from gels that are protein based and/or contain high levels of alcohol. Otherwise, I've never had issues with it.

  • I've been a subbie for a while and you were one of the first natural hair "gurus" i watched and I have to say your spirit is just a delight to watch on camera, you're so cheerful and upbeat. What a wonderful personality. And your phony pony's always look gorgeous.

  • @hypnateq Aww, thanks so much! I really appreciate that ;-)

  • FIrst of all I just want to start off by saying that I love your videos and that they have carried through my worst hair days! thank you sooo much! But I also have a question with all the ponytails and different hairstyles that you try do you often find yourself noticing that your edges are getting a little thin? and if so you like me are having the same problem I am trying to prevent this from happening because I see the beginnings of something bad so do you know any ways to prevent this?

  • @missinspired93: Thanks for the support! To answer your question, I don't pull my hair extra tight and I always moisturize my edges, so styling hasn't caused any damage. the only thing that did my edges in is pregnancy! The postpartum hormonal changes made my edges fall out completely. Apparantly, this is normal, as many women experience this. Some even experience massive shedding all over.

  • You're so pretty! I love the make up!

I never noticed you didn't have holes in your ears? I'm curious, why not?

  • I love the drawstring pony tails!! I am wearing two ponytails in my hair right now! LOL!! It is like a Sherly Temple kind of curl with a kinkiness to it. I made look that was so it can match my natural 4b hair. I am Transitioning and my hair is just growing out. I don't know if it is just me but I started using Castor oil with my cantor leave in conditioner and I swear I had a growth spurt or it might be wishful thinking.Haha!!

  • Hello, I am a newby to working with my natural hair and to You tube. Only 8 months in and still dealing with the changes and challenges of becoming natural (ends still permed). I have watched 6 or 7 of your tuts and you have helped me tremendously.THANK YOU AGAIN! Started with some 2008 and 2009 tuts and thought you may be gone by now, but am soooo pleased to see you are still here in 2012 for us newbies.I will stay tuned and get all the help possible. Keep Up The Great Work!

  • Can you tell me where you got your earrings from? I have a friend who doesn't have any holes in her ear as well & would love to pass the information off to her. THANKS!

  • Your natural hair is so soft. It still surprises me that you don't have a perm. So fortunate!!!

  • Very pretty, thanks for sharing

  • @DPrincess28 o ok. Thank you for the clarification

  • Cute! I'm rocking a phony pony too for the winter. Great minds think alike! Lol

  • Love the make up look and the pony. Going to try it on my niece when we go on vacation.
