Its a tricky roundabout that one as i see a lot of drivers using the right hand lane (just like you did) to go straight on because the majority will exit the roundabout in the right hand lane to turn right onto the A63 at the next roundabout. I personally use the left lane when approaching the roundabout then cut across to the right on exiting it
At a roundabout, if you're turning left (normally 1st exit) or going straight on (usually 2nd) you must approach in the left hand lane. You took the 2nd so you should have been in the left lane. Sorry mate but your fault on this one.
@sirobb there were 2 lanes to exit, therefore you can be in either, as the bike was in the right lane, he was okay, but the car was too far over?

You should have got in the left lane but I've had this happen when I've had my indicator on to go left
