LEGO Mindstorms NXT, X-raying the Pirates and the NXTfied Theater

This is the "behind the scenes" movie of my motorized/automated theater that was inspired by the recent LEGO Pirates theme. Visit http://web.me.com/NeXTSTORM for 32 new pictures.

The show starts when a "ticket" is inserted in a slot located (located at the front of the theater) by altering the reading value of an embedded NXT light sensor. The whole action is under the control of a LEGO Mindstrorms NXT brick. The NXT brick powers the three attached to it NXT motors and controls the rest LEGO Power Functions elements over an infrared link.

Programming (on NXT-G) was quite simple, since there is no special logic (excluding the initial triggering with readings of the Light Sensor) but just a predefined sequence of commands.

The Pirates and the NXTfied Theater is consisted of:
- One Intelligent NXT Brick
- One NXT Rechargeable Battery
- Three NXT Servo Motors
- One NXT Light Sensor
- One NXT IR Link (HiTechnic)
- Two Power Functions IR Receivers
- Two Power Functions Light Sets
- Four Power Functions M-Motors
- One Power Functions XL-Motor
- Three Power Functions Battery Boxes
- Three Power Functions Extension Wires
...plus some more LEGO bricks and pieces
