BIKE TO -- Cycling to Work in Toronto

On Monday, August 31, 2009,
Michael Bryant, former Ontario
Attorney-General and political
golden boy, was charged with
criminal negligence causing death
and dangerous driving
following the death of
Darcy Allan Sheppard,
a bicycle courier with whom
he had an altercation
along a tony stretch of
Toronto's Bloor Street.
Mr. Sheppard was seen clinging
to Mr. Bryant's car and died
from head injuries
after he fell off.
Since then, an old debate
has been reignited
about bicycles and cars
on Toronto streets ...

@gundamWWW Well, the 16mm film digitization was done on a shoestring, so maybe that's why "the footage looks really old". However, the brief glimpse of the rear wheel in the last shot dates the film early 80ish ... around the time mountain bikes first made their appearance in The Big Smoke.

Well the footage looks really old, I thought it was back in the old days (60's) before women entered the workforce on mass. But I'm glad I was wrong, and shockingly suprised to see a woman dismount from the bike.

Great to see some of Freewheelin' again Wolf. Love the vintage 80's footage and that fact that you shot on film.
