that's my exact point when i say theism is a cultural "issue".

The rest what you refer to has to do with knowledge/wisdom.

Indoctrination is a powerful thing it seems.

But hey, if you don't meet any smart theists, then you don't meet any ;)

I'm afraid I must disagree. Even before you receive an education, an intelligent child can notice the anomalies.

Why if you are born in Israel are you Jewish? If you are India you are Hindu, Pakistani - Muslim etc

If something was created, then who was the creator's creator.....

Why send messages to the middle of the desert 2,000 years ago and not every major country in the time of tv.

Only someone with half a brain could ignore the obvious.

Come on, surely you know some very smart theists, perhaps not personally, but names like Ken Miller, Spencer Wells, and a lot closer to your home, but long dead Isaac Newton...

I think theism is mainly a cultural "issue", and being smart i deem more genetic.

A last possibility is that i am not that smart, so to me everyone else seems smart ;)

You must associate with different theists from the ones I have encountered. I have never met a theist that even approaches what I would describe as 'smart'.

It's really simple when you think about it, why don't theists get this???  they are smart enough, so it has to be the indoctrination that keeps them from seeing the simplicity of it all....
