Its on its butt. Sheep are pray animals, once they are subdued they just give up. On their butts theyre defenseless, they give up, especially when their heads are restrained.
Once we had a ewe who when she was released after sheering flopped over with her head in a manure gutter. She couldnt see out of it, and so laid there the entire day thinking she was dead. lol. Once we picked up her head she realized she was alive and took off in a flash. lol.
