Obama: Don't take my SUV And AC away

He responded to a question about America's role in reducing global energy consumption like this: "We can't tell [other countries], don't grow. We can't -- drive our SUVs and you know, eat as much ...

@jbranstetter04
I may not know who you are or what are or whatever, but you are a person who understands that ignorance about these issues, because nearly everywhere I see ignorant posts which are completely useless and just a waste of time and don't have anything to do with facts. USA is in alot of trouble and it's what's causing the recession world wide. The worlds needs US as much as it needs us.

I can't believe people actually think like this woman.

It must be "ANTI-AMERICAN" to believe that small sacrifices at a family level might be necessary to stop global climate change.

How dare the rest of the world suggest that America is not the centre of the universe! Blasphemy! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!

This is so scary. I guess the rest of the world will pay for all this stupidity.

Honestly I dont have time to go on youtube everyday to discuss this with you. You are obviously very intellegent. lets agree to disagree. Just try being open minded and seeing both side. Change is in the air, you can go with it or fight it, either way it is going to happen. Obama controls your country whether you like it or not.

haha wow, good for you promoting the increased consumption of our finite resources as well as climate change. You should be so proud that your promoting the earths destruction so that you can stick to your , right winged view. God people like you make me laugh.

First, we cannot destroy the earth. Second, we will solve our own problems as they come about. We will use up all of the fossil fuels and then we will invent or discover other means of energy. People like you have an inherent distrust in the abilities of man to overcome obstacles in front of him, while people like me know that we can do anything that we need to do in order to survive. I trust in the future while you apparently do not. You want to limit us, while I want us to grow.

Aw that is cute that you think that. Actually the reason for the recession is the lack of government control, especially in the banking system. Because of this basically anyone could get a mortgage or loan, which in the end people living beyond their means in america could not afford and had to have foreclosures. This is what caused the recession. Look around you the countries that are doing better than yours are what you would call communist, but in reality are just liberal or center.

I'm glad that you think that my thoughts are cute. The fact is that you are 100% right, but, for the wrong reason. The fact is that the government (the democrats and Bush) forced the banks to give these bad loans. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (government backed entities) were buying up the loans from the banks thereby reliving the banks of any responsibility for the loan. The fact is that a bank that is going to have to keep a loan for 30 years is not going to give out a bad one.

what lack of govt control?

It was a host of regulations that forced the bad loans in the first place, and poltical pressure from both sides that pushed the FR into an easy money bubble blowing frenzy. Dems wanted the charade b/c their constuents were getting loans they didnt deserve, Reps liked it b/c their constituents were building the houses. Concern was raised by a few Reps., not all, the govt. refused to stop 'misregulating'.

What 'liberal' countries are doing better? Maybe Canada.
