Sometimes I have people ask me why dont people just bring feral cats to shelters for a chance at adoption.. reality is that is never possible since they are put down soon as they are brought it. This clip is from the best pet overpopulation documentary Best Friend Forgotten

The only thing I disagree is regarding lifespan of feral cats. 3-4 years is the norm for unmanaged colonies but when cats are in TNR programs they can live as long as house cats. I neutered one that was 8-10 years old. And some I feed now are over 6 years old and still thriving.

Please do not ask for me to upload the entire show. I highly recommend you purchase the DVD

  • I place feral cats to barns for pest control. They are spayed/neutered/vaccinated. Interested in more info, please contact me.

I can give you information on how to properly place the cats. In most cases its not ideal to return the cats. I am located in Ontario Canada

  • Trust me we have many cats in our rescue that are on the waiting lisit for barns. These are for ferals that cannot be returned or were being fostered and cannot go to homes as they don't like close contact with people. As along as the area the cats live in is safe then sometimes release is the next best thing for them rather then a shelter or living under a bed for the rest of their lives.

  • if you stop a colony from producing litters you will save many animals from suffering....TRAP, NEUTER,RELEASES...it is not that hard to figure out...I have been saying this for years...low lifes,trash...they can have their nails done, buy beer and cigerettes...but don't have money to spay their animals...dumb-sses

  • @summerbrezz74

    Cool story bro.

  • think its people we should be spaying as well

Trap and remove doesn't work. It actually encouarges cats to breed (the ones that are missed) neutered cats fight off unaltered cats. Come to my neighborhood and I'll show you how this is working in my area. The numbers go down NEVER up.

  • So, TNR is popular and the solution? The basicly says that we are going to live amongst wild cats anywhere we go. No place will be void of cats. LOL. I think this trap neuter release overactive sweetness is so missdirected and dysfunctionally insincere, that I wonder how the public has yet isolated this activity as extremely inhumane and enviromentally toxic. However, feral cats in barns sounds good for all parties, but once ferals start to transmit some h1nx flu virus, it's bye bye to them.
