@catatafish100 So you perfer to blow gaskets, bolts and pistons instead? Pretty good safety feature on a high performance engine.

@oceanspirit Or do you reakon a 16V Turbo 740 at 300 hp would be better, just want to enter track days with the MG club and beat their V8's around the track and in motorkhanas ahah. My mates dad has a few sitting in his yard, easily get spare bodies if I write mine off.
But I've got to hand it to the 960's, they look sooo stylish, 740's well, their a brick. Could a 960 with a tuned 20V (230 hp) do better then 0 - 60 miles in 6 seconds?
Happy to lower it, koni gear and 17" wide rims. $6k budget

Hey man your probably the best guy to ask about the 900 series chassis. I'm thinking of getting a 960 sedan, gutting the 3L odd V6. Would a 20V 2.5 S70/ 850 n/a motor bolt right up?
I'm after a non-turbo, needs to be brisk, like 0-60 miles in 5 seconds. I tuned my S70's N/a 20V to be just under 180 fwhp (Atleast 200 crank) but I hate that I can't drift with it, hence wanting rwd (Did plan on making the S70 rwd with XC parts, but way too expensive).
MAIN QUESTION, will a 960 drift on 230 rwhp?

@NorkiddExo The 960 dont have a V6 engine, it has a straight 6 engine.
Yes the 20v engine will fit from any s/v70 and 850. The same engine mounts, and if it has a m90 "white engine bolt ffitting" the engine will fit straight on. If its a m90 tranny from a B23/230 it will not fit.
960 is a very heavy car, weighting over 1600 kilograms, drift, yeah it could drift, but its really easy to tune a T5 engine to over 270hp

so many haters on this-___- + i learnt how to drive in a 960 its also the first car i slide :D + why take the 3.0 out!? are you made ;D :) anyway such a nice carto drive probably ALOT of pulling power!

@TheFrmktm It started its life as a 945, was then rebuilt to a 965 (V90) exterior and got its new engine, just because the builder could do it. :)

It's not a 960! it's a 940 rebuild to a 960!
