  • Does the two solid white lines on British roads mean "no passing on either side of the road"?

  • Yes. Where there are double lines, the important one is the one nearest to you (the one on your side of the road). If your line is broken, you may cross to overtake if it is safe. If your line is solid, you mustn't cross it.

  • This route was nicknamed death valley due to the high number of fatal road accidents along this stretch. Who would believe it from watching this video
