Touhou Katsugeki Kitdan [東方活劇綺談] Game Sample - PC/Doujin

This is a 2D sidescrolling action game starring the white wolf tengu, Momiji/Momizi Inubashiri [犬走　椛（いぬばしり　もみじ), note her overall design and name] of Touhou fame. It has the obligatory bullet-hell that Touhou games are known quite well for and also has some platforming segments and light RPG elements. The way to do well in this game is to perform chains without getting hit; Ignore whatever is in your way and find the next enemies to bash. Doing well can net you a lot of extra experience points and money. Only problem is that Momiji moves a bit stiff, making chasing enemies down a bit harder than it should be.

The game looks okay and sounds great, but the download seems unnaturally huge for a game like this and I don't see where all of that used-up space goes. This game is also a deceptive resource hog, so you'll need a pretty good computer to run it, much more so if you're recording too. This game sure hates being recorded at 60FPS at its default resolution too... (800x600), particularly when the level starts and I enter the level shop, so you'll see the framerate re-adjusting for a few seconds. Fraps drops straight to 30FPS for some reason, so I used DivX as a workaround. It's decent. Enjoy.

@Snzor01 I think it was something to do with dashing through 1000 bullets or something to that extent. I haven't played this game in awhile, but I believe that's what it was.

How do you unlock extra stage 2? i beat yukari on hard and still nothing

I remember getting to the last level on the hardest difficulty, it limits you to level 1 throughout the game... it's sort of ludicrous.

There were a couple items I couldn't figure out the use for, and also there's some sort of sequel

Oh yeah, I remember finding this game a while back. I couldn't get past the 1st boss, so I took a break from it. Maybe I should watch this vid for a better strategy. No wait, I just need to level up quickly? Hmm, I see. Okay, I'll try again.
