My new wallpaper. You have the best compositing vids on youtube. The model of the mountains i can make. But i'd love to see a tutorial on compositing like this.

anyway i think you should make a tutorial because it's looking really nice

Shading (F5) -> World Buttons -> Mist
I think the settings should be obvious.
Of course I also did some compositing with the mist. You can activate the button 'Mist' in the render layer settings to get the mist factor pass for compositing. Something I didn't know when I made this video was, that you could also deactivate mist for all materials and then use the mist factor pass only in the composite nodes. That gives you a lot of possibilities.

it's sounds very simple i'll make a try but i have a problem....your mountains aint so higs but when you render they look like they "touch the sky" to say like that...i modeled some big landscapes and when i rendered them they still look small:|its because of camera or its compositing too?

mhm. Hard to say what makes the difference. Maybe it's actually the mist. I choosed the maximum 'height' value so that it is more dense at the bottom.
btw. the first small clip was made without any compositing.

Oh and I also used ambient occlusion. Or perhaps you should just add smaller details.
I didn't do that, but you coud also try out a smaller lens value for the camera. That increases the depth effect of your picture/video.
