This years Pride Week reception, hosted by the Toronto Police Service and the Toronto Police Services Board, will take place on Friday, June 19, 2009, from 4 p.m. − 6 p.m., at Cawthra Square Park, Jarvis Street/north of Wellesly Street East.

It will feature Pride greetings from the Minister of Education, the Honourable Kathleen Wynne; Chief William Blair, TPSB vice chair Pam McConnell, city councillors, and members of the community, with keynote speaker the Reverend Dr. Brent Hawkes, a Member of the Order of
Canada for LGBT human rights activism.

Local talent Julie Michels, SingingOUT!, and Counterpoint Community Orchestra will take you on a musical journey chronicling the history of Torontos LGBTTQQ2S community.

Light refreshments will be provided by The 519 and Daniel et Daniel.

Join us as we kick−off Pride 2009.

If it rains, the reception will be held at The 519 Community Centre, 519 Church Street.
