pretty sure they can keep battlefield dug relics. I think it has to be deemed unfireable, or incapable to be made fireable first though.

when my g-pa was young he lived in estonia during ww2 and he used to find dead soldiers and play with their guns and gernades but he stopped the day after another kid blew his arm off with an accidental pull of the string of a nazi's potato masher
