@Malasubidude In denmark they are quite common, i got one, my cousin, my cousins friend.
They go for around 375-650$ wich is quite cheap for a moped/scooter in denmark.

@patespinosacom You sir, just made my FZ50 work again. I thank you for your simple instructions as an addition to my worthless knowledge.

How rare are these things? My grandpa buzzes around on one that's in perfect condition and beats the hell out of it.

I just happen to not have an air filter.... I have the housing, but no internal filter, and i'm missing the little piece of plastic to hold the bottom. I have tried covering it though... No luck
Which setting did you adjust it to?
I have the FS50, it uses the same transmission, motor. all the main parts are the same, just the frame is a little differant. Plus it is rare.
It only has 599 miles on it, I cant get it run though. I have cleaned out the carb and fuel cock so many times and done all kinds of adjustments and can't get the damn thing running. Every once in a while I can get it to start but it bogs out when giving it more gas and then it just quits. I think ill just buy a new carb and fuel cock for the easy way

I found that my FZ50 would bog down and hardly run at all when the air filter was not properly installed. If you do not have an air filter, try partly covering the carb with either your hand or a plastic cup lid with a small hole cut in it. Chances are it is not getting enough fuel compared to the amount of air that its getting. I had a similar problem with my FZ50. The only thing that fixed it was changing the needle on the slide to give it more fuel and buying a new air filter housing.

Normally the transmission is the last thing to screw up.... seeing you had it apart... how many miles did it have?

The FZ50 has under 5k miles on it, at 13yrs (18yrs ago) I blew the engine (did not bleed the oil pump). The crank was rebuilt, however when I put it back together at 13, I left out some shims & spacers. The 1st gear clutch was loose, and making all sorts of noise. No spacer, there was nothing for the clutch to tighten against. Also the kick start gear was dragging the 2nd gear clutch. The new muffler revealed the noise. Parts from a FA50 & a few hours with a grinder the trans is as good as new.
