Jerry loved the sea. He would dive the Pacific Ocean off SF and , I believe, that he loved his ships too. This is an old traditional shanty that was also covered by The Byrds on the 'Easy Rider' album. It is a song that is popular all around the world. I think it is better with the words 'the Arctic "roar".' You have to hear a sea 'roar' when it's cold, to know what I mean. I miss 'St.' Jerry Garcia so much!!
