Mud-slinging at its finest (or worst?)...

Pure ignorance. How many people have been led to Christ because of GCC? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands?
-
GCC is about breaking out of traditions to try to reach those that normally don't go to church. That is a great thing. Jesus is welcoming of anyone that will receive the debt that He has paid. GCC is trying to reach as many people as possible with His message.

GCC uses culture to make church more accessible to more people. I have been a member since the mid ninties when I was a teenager. We use to meet in a movie theater in its early days. I accepted Jesus as my personal savior during church summer camp when this church was still meeting at a movie theater. Mark Beeson and Rob Wegner know the heart of Jesus. The intention is to make it less intimitating to those that are interested. GCC is reaching out to people to get them interested in Christ

Granger Community Church is amazing! I moved from England to South Bend Indiana and started to attend. This church made me feel so welcome and helped me in my walk with God immensely! The leadership team is full of loving, God Centred people who I miss so much! I hope they stay relevant!

Part 3
I used to also have the same narrow perspective of GCC. But after many years of growing up in "Church" I came to realize that most churches were not reaching the lost but gathering up other Christians.
I pray that this pastor will spend more time reaching and loving the lost than using his valuable sermon time to promote discord in the body of Christ.

Part 2
It is time we as Christians realize that we are not doing battle with each other but the forces of hell itself. I am not saying that GCC is the church for everyone but condemning a pastor and his congregation for actually doing the great commission and reaching out to the community, and the world, by saying we are no different than you, we are all sinners saved by grace. Is that not the intention God had when he sent his son -that none should perish.
I don't go to GCC, but I find it very interesting that this pastor thinks it is okay to stand before his own flock and point out the shortcomings of a hugely successful nationally known church (located in my area) without showing me anything that his own church is doing to bring nonbelievers to Jesus Christ. What's that about ignoring the plank in your own eye?

I'm sorry, wasn't it Jesus Christ who took a piece of culture and elaborated on the truth of it? Isn't there an entire section of the Word that is dedicated to "Parables" in order to help people understand the truths of God? You sir, definitely look like you are connecting as you stand behind your big, wooden podium twisting the word of God. Sounds like someone needs to stop casting stones and start partnering with people who's hearts really are for changing a community. Help or be quiet!
