  • Musical genius, pure amazing genius. How one person can extract that much power out of an acoustic guitar is beyond my comprehension.

  • @NudIaug That particular guitar has a huge voice...Gibson Butterfly. However, Pete manages to wring everything possible out of his instrument.

  • The master on that big ol Gibson!! such a beautiful instrument...like an orchestra!

  • No one plays like Pete. His hands DANCE over those strings.

  • If you listen a song like "Love Ain't For Keepin'" off of Who's Next, it takes a few listens to realize that the only electric instrument is the bass. That there are two (possibly three) acoustic tracks, but are played with such confident gusto (for lack of a better term) that it sounds like an electric rock song. Townshend is the ultimate expression of a rock guitar genius. Can do it all.

  • You're right - and he was doing this long before "MTV Unplugged".

  • The #1 lesson to learn from Pete is that the acoustic can be played with as much power as an electric...Learn that and you can be one entertaining mofo :)

  • i love his guitar style i think now he can play any thing on guitar were as before he was very unhappy with his guiter playing but now i think he is at the top were he belongs

  • i love it!
