George McGovern '72 & '84 Television Ads

McGovern wouldn't have been different from Nixon in terms of their foreign policy? I couldn't disagree more. It's Hubert Scumphrey who would've been a Nixon clone. Vietnam was the issue on which McGovern was most passionate; he would not have betrayed his supporters that way.

I liked Mcgovern but I don't think he would have been any different from Nixon in terms of thier foriegn policy. That being said if Mcgovern had won I wouldn't have minded either.

You're embarrassingly ignorant if you believe that. Virtually McGovern's ENTIRE campaign platform in 72 was based on changing foreign policy, most specifically wrt Vietnam.
