@memama2 Its been almost two years since President Obama has been in office and it boggles my mind that people still speak of him in such a harsh tone. Regardless of your political affiliation, he is our president and deserves a level of respect much greater than how you commented. I can whole heartedly admit that I do not share similar views to President Obama, but he is my president whether by my choice or not. As an american citizen, it is your duty to wish nothing but success on this man.

Sadly, this war is not over. President Obama doesn't talk about how there are still TONS of military contractors in Iraq and that America is keeping 50,000 soldiers in Iraq... and that America is going to kill people who are considered terrorists with drones all around the world. Unless this policy changes, what is going to keep China from killing people it thinks are Chinese terrorists that live in the United States?  Do you want drone planes killing people without trial in the United States?

End of combat mission and start of innovation mission to sustain the peace. Solar technology would work well in Iraq's climate. Perhaps Iraq and Kuwait could work together to build a large solar field. Would this show the future generation a better way than war to resolve an energy issue?

The Saddam regime got Iraq into a war when it invaded Kuwait an independant nation. The Saddam regime could have picked up a smart phone and discovered solar energy instead he chose to pick up the military phone and the rest is history. It is true the Saddam regime got a lot of people killed the consequence was his death at the hands of his own people. War does not solve issues innovation does.
