if you think I said you can't run 3x 580s, then you're mistaken, I said 590s because they are dual gpus. then I said "it's the same with all forms of 580 sli." meaning 2x SLI, and 3x SLI. There are only two ways to run 580s in SLI. 2x or 3x. so there's no need to distinguish

are you saying you run tripple 580s because I you think I said that you can't? or are you saying it because that's a faster way to say it than "tri-sli"? I never said you couldn't use both, you use em in different situations, eg:

someone asks you "how do you run your 3x GTX580s?"

you can't reply "I run them in tripple 580s"

you should say: "I run them in tri sli"

I know what you're trying to say, you're saying that when referring to 4 separate cards you say "4 way", and 2x dual gpu cards are called "quad sli", so people know you're not referring to 2x 590 quad sli or vice versa.. but that's unneccessary, because ALL 590s are 2x cards, so the ONLY 590 SLI is a quad sli. there is no need to distinguish, and same with all forms of 580 sli.
