the rendered cutscenes are as beautiful as those in the first two thief games, but the ones made with the ingame engine look awkward

As much as I loved Theif 3, it's graphics have NOT aged well.

This game was definitely created during the awkward period between basic 3D models and more realistic models.

The cutscenes from T3 and the other games are all awesome, but the *ingame* cutscenes from T3 are the ugliest things ever.

2:19 always freaked me out. Distortion and darkness.

the ambient music of these series is phenomenal

Until then,all we can do is sing the "stop taffing" song,and hope that indeed there will be no taffering involved in the making of a new Thief =D

@Wharwulif I think that's what Ion Storm wanted to do, but of course the Xbox 360 and Eidos got in the way... Let's hope Eidos Montreal will deliver, even without original Looking Glass devs. Stephen Russell is a must though.

@NecrosHun06 Speaking of choice...If Thief 4 will hold the option of choice-like rubbing the place here,or going there instead-and each thing will hold different affects for later game-Then that will be awesome!

Becoming a Free roam thief that goes around,breaks into places and escapes the law...while having a mystical and amazing main story line...also doing "special orders" here and there =D

Sounds like you already had that idea in mind before of having a Thief movie or tv series =D

Though I'm not sure if a live action series could work... It would probably be best to go with animation, similar to the cutscenes from the games. They could bring back some of the voice actors too that way. Man, I'd love to see this happen...
