'Deal or No Deal St James' is a game show based on the hit Channel Four show 'Deal or No Deal' hosted by Noel Edmonds and created by Endemol Productions. The St James version was adapted by James Cotter who went on to produce and host four editions of the show filmed at St James High School in Exeter, Devon. A decision was made early on by executive producers James Cotter and Chris Priddle to film two shows back to back on two consecutive nights because of the availability of the shows host. The show was created for two reasons, one to bring various age groups of students together in a newly formed house system so a format had to be created for this main purpose and the second reason was to find a vehicle for the shows host James Cotter to broaden his appeal and to expand his media repertoire. The show became a cult success at St James and opened up a whole host of opportunities for the school and the host. The most popular show was Show Four filmed on Thursday 11th May 2006 this show was shown around the St James consecutively to promote the show.
