Galaxy Quest VoxFX Commercial

This is a commercial I did in 2007 for a proposed "plasma disk" voice-activated Galaxy Quest Vox communicator kit. In the concept commercial I used the real plasma disk movie prop, that was made for the Galaxy Quest motion picture, and hooked it up to a voice activated power source. Sadly, the project never fully materialized due to technical hurdles and cost barriers.

I own many original "screen-used" movie props from Galaxy Quest motion picture including the Vox.

@TucsonDon I used the real custom-made plasma prop part for this. I have the original props from the movie including the Vox. The commercial product "Pocket Plasma" disk doesn't fit the Pegasus Vox kit unless you cut down the diameter of the plasma disk glass and disassemble the shell before installing and make the Pegasus Vox deeper in depth. But, in the end the Pocket Plasma just doesn't work well with the Vox kits.

Question on what you used for the Plasma Disc: Did you use the Pocket Plasma Disc and if so what did you do to make it fit the Vox?? I'm getting the Pegasus kits and want to see about making it have the Plasma effect. Please let me know!! Thanks!
