Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland - pre 2006 refurb

i love this ride so much

Wow, this video was uploaded on the 40th anniversary of the opening of New Orleans Square! Was that intentional?
Anyway, I love this ride and getting to relive how it was before the refurb.

i dont like how they changed the ride now it was better before

I liked the ride a lot before the update, but Pirates is still one of my favorite Disney rides. The part though that I'm sorry they took out was when you go past Davy Jones into the area where the boat is attacking Port Royal. I liked it better how it was before when it was two boats attacking each other.

I am not sure how to tell you this but it has never been 2 boats attacking each other. It has been 1 boat (Wicked Wench) attacking a nameless Caribbean port.

Was it really? It was a long time from my last trip to Disneyland before the Pirates update, so I guess I just thought it was always two boats. Still one of my all time favorite Disney rides though.

I still think the only exciting part of this ride is the drop right at the beginning. From then on, it's kinda boring, but its still a nice boat ride in the dark. Heh.

my childhood memories are ruined with the litetring of sparrow into teh scenes of Pirates of the caribbean the ride!

Now thats fuckin awesome!
