I'd just like to add that I remember some limitations in Ekiga, but not exactly what it was. Like only one call possible? Or one provider? Not sure. Yate on the other hand supports unlimited providers and unlimited phone call channels. No limitation whatsoever, just that it has no 3D graphics support :^)
In the beginning of the video I get stuttering sound. I don't mean the german, it's the sound really. Is it the video data? Is it broken?
Anyway, Yate is great! It is the first phone client actually WORKING on my system. All others seem to have problems with ALSA programming. I get heavy noise with nearly all other softphones. Only the Ekiga works, too. But the latest snapshot had some problem, so I switched to Yate and it just works.
Want to exchange my Asterisk with it. So... stay tuned ;-)
Yate is running our Office Cisco 7960 SIP phones that we use from Freeway it's very robust.
