  • This is a MONSTER, I need to get it.

  • Here's a tip: my guitar player just changed the preamp tube with a German made one. This amp was already powerful, but now it turned into a hairy chest beast.

  • I'm gonna buy a new amp next week and I really don't know what to. I am using the Digitech RP255 unit and my guitar - an Ibanez RG321MH. I wanna get a new amp for college where I will get into a serious band. Currently I own the Fender G-DEC Junior which is only 15 W. I was told to get a solidstate with a good clean, as I dont need effects on it.What whould I get ? Around 30-50 W and 200-300$ ? I've set my eyes on the Kustom HV30 and Kustom Quad65DFX.Or maybe a Hartke GT60c? I need for metal.

  • Camera mic no?

  • I've got this amp and i must to say that clean chanel is very good but distortion... omg just forgot... On low volumes is very good but when you play with the band and you've got to turn it up you will hear terrible distortion in my opinion. Like i said before clean chanel is perfect but you've got to buy distortion stomp box to get real good gain sound.

  • The tube is not in the power amp. It is a pre-amp tube. The power amp is all solid state. The benefit of placing a 12Ax7 or 12Au7 in the preamp of a solid state amp is it warms up the sound of the amp and usually is quite beneficial in eliminating the harshness that comes from solid state distortion.

  • "butmaniac"? really?

  • Nice job. My guitar player has one of these screaming machines, and it works great for blues-rock.

  • A tube amp is an amplifier that is powered by something called 'power tubes' or 'vacuum tubes'. They are usually more expensive and have richer, warmer tonal characteristics than 'Solid-State' amps, that are powered by something called 'transistors'. Tube amps are often a lot louder than solid-state amps, and they tend to sound better when played at high volumes. The Kustom HV100 is not a tube amp, but a hybrid amp, which means that it features a tube in the power amp, for more tube-like sound.
