  • they deserved it.

  • If you were peppered sprayed, you should sue police officer Vargas. I know I am. See article in the Daily Kos under "OWS Participants - Your Rights Under Federal Law if You are Pepper Sprayed & Why You Should Sue" by Steven D. We can stand against it by standing together and following suit, in a court of law.

  • @coolerow Then they go to jail with a charges of assaulting a LEO (a felony) and they won't be getting out anytime soon. Damn smart thinking on your part. The 1st time & place it happens ows will become a distant memory within a week. Lock up all the misguided fools and there will be no protest to participate in. Cities will have their parks back, the unsanitary & hazardous conditions will dissappear; organized crime in the form of anti-semitism, theft, drugs & rapes will drop significantly.

  • @Inquisitor53 Page 3: Of course, not everyone who studies liberal arts (including poli sci) is "stupid," as you say. Yes, much of the humanities curriculum is very critical of American values, history, policies, wealth distribution, & dominant culture, but classes should be more than cheerleading sessions for the multinational capitalism, corporate fascism, & precipitous wealth inequality (via perks for the rich) that afflict California. That's all for now. I have to go to work. Good day. -BB

  • @Inquisitor53 Page 2: So, there is no question that some of the curriculum at UC and CSU is either worthless or even harmful to a free society. However, much of the work in the California systems is beneficial, including engineering, medicine, physics, biology, environmental studies, psychology, and many other practical fields, typically based on the scientific method. CSU actually produces some fairly competent K-12 teachers, too. In any case, curriculum revision is not the issue here.

  • @Inquisitor53 Since I have completed 325 semester units of college work in the past four decades, much of it in California, I might be qualified to share a thought here: The humanities departments at public universities (especially in California) are packed with Marxists of various stripes. This has been documented in studies. Many of these shaggy-headed guys & mean-faced, clipped-haired gals are also in love with postmodernism, which has become the unquestioned paradigm of humanities study.

  • @Inquisitor53 ... I did. "...it barged in..." There was no barging, the ows welcomed them all with open arms. So you don't like violence? Then why would you hang around people in the group that allowed them in. Just you being there is showing your support for them & their violence. The tea party didn't allow the kkk into their ranks, why do you?

You're right about one thing: ows is going nowhere because they DON'T have any real solution except commit violence.

  • @infowazz "...dumbed down..." with those two words you proved yourself a hypocrite. The only time I hear those words it seems to only come from the 'liberal elite', those who use that 2-word talking point when showing thier contempt for all other humans that don't follow their dogma.

"nobody welcomed violence,..." Are you telling me, as intelligent as you're supposed to be, you didn't know the communists, the socialists, the unions, & the kkk are all members of violent organizations? ...

  • @Inquisitor53 ... from mal-nourishment & starvation and the colonies' threat of collapse did their leaders decides socialism isn't such a good idea and capitalism works best afterall.Within two years everybody grew as much as they could with plenty to share, even with the native americans. Why is it socialist instructors never bring up that point?

  • @Inquisitor53 ...capitalism in a free republic. Look back at what happened when some of this country's 1st colonists tried socialism a few years before the pilgrims' 1st Thanksgiving. People died of starvation due to "spreading the wealth". Those putting in all the efforts to raise & harvest crops were having to feed those that didn't got fed up within that 1st year of busting their asses to support spongers, leeches, & bums so they quit growing anything. Only after people died of diseases ...
