It was back to the track for Team Lethal as we headed to Palm Beach International Raceway for a few more passes. The only changes made this time were a set of QA1 single adjustable shocks. Otherwise the car has the stock springs, upper and lower control arms and panhard rod. We're running a 2.9L Whipple with a 3.50" pulley, American Racing 1-7/8" longtube headers, Offroad X-Pipe and the Magnaflow 3" competition catback. We're also using a Fore Precision Works dual pump return style fuel hat along with their filter, y-block and regulator.

As you can see it's time for a suspension upgrade. Although the power the car is making won't be mentioned as it's part of an up coming article to be featured in 5.0 Mustang Magazine I can tell you that we've over powered the stock suspension. Before we were able to make it work cutting low 1.40 60fts. Now we're unable to do so. Obviously track prep may play a role in that as well but from our video before this when we ran our best of 10.33@133.68 you can see how bad the car bounces in between shifts.

So next week we'll be headed over to UPR Products in Lake Worth, FL to set the suspension up right. Our driver and good friend Jeremy Martorella will be performing the installation of UPR's race suspension products identical to the ones we run on our 9 second 2010 GT500.

Then it's back to the track to make another attempt at a 9 second pass with the stock motor and stock 6 speed manual transmission.

As always we want to thank all of our awesome customers and vendors for showing us their support. UPR Products, Whipple Superchargers, Jon Lund of Lund Racing, SCT, Power by the Hour Performance, Jake Long, Fore Precision Works, The Driveshaft Shop, Mcleod Racing, Magnaflow, American Racing Headers, Ford Racing, Jeremy Martorella, Bogart Racing Wheels, JLT Performance, Apex Automotive.

  • @Lethalcamp Are you still running the stock differential/axles, etc.?

  • @91greenlx

The entire rear end is stock except for the QA1 shocks we put on. Stock diff, stock axles, stock 3.73 gears.

  • What's the track prep like up there on a regular basis? Sounds like it spun just a little bit out of the hole. Love the car! My dad has a bone stock Kona 5.0, he is going to order some drag raidals here pretty soon to dive into the 12's.

Sometimes the track prep at PBIR is great and sometimes it's so so. The night of this video it wasn't that great as we would spin not only on the launch but throughout first gear as the car was accelerating. I spoke to a friend of mine that was up there today for Racers Appreciation day and he said the track was hookin like crazy. We'll be doing some suspension mods this Wed and we'll hit the track Wed night to see how the suspension works.
