@xTomstaHD he plays in Holland now..

@absolutezerocool well time will tell if he does become a great striker, he is 22 and most players reach there potential between the age of 26-28 so he still has time to prove himself

i think hes become a real letdown, he's bairly improved since hes moved to Villarreal :(

@xTomstaHD I think that is wrong. He had huge hype when he was in MLS, people talked like he was the next Brazilian Ronaldo. He has improved quite a bit in other areas of his game, especially linking up. He didn't play much at Villarreal, so no surprise he didn't improve in leaps and bounds. If you saw him recently with Alkmaar and the recent match with Slovenia it is pretty apparent he is better than earlier years. He makes goals, one way or another, so I am thankful for him.

@absolutezerocool Physically he's above most defenders which is why he'll excell as a striker whatever form he's in, ive had my eye on him since hes joined villarreal because i was interested in how he'll improve but apart from having a bullet shot and being a powerhouse he doesnt really show any brains or skill

@xTomstaHD No brain or skills or not enough to be an elite FW. I think there is a big difference, and with how much quality we can see today in players, your bar is pretty high. I actually think he has some skill and brains and they have improved. We've seen his moves and touch in the Turkey USA match, his time in Turkey, and his time in Holland. Neymar or Hernandez he is not. But he certainly is better then many FWs countries have, and many FWs we have had in our entire history.

@absolutezerocool but what i'm saying is that to be the next 'Brazilian Ronaldo' you have to have skill, brains, finishing, strength and pace from an early age to be the next big thing, i'm not saying he's a bad striker i'm just saying hes been overhyped

@xTomstaHD Right. But where does the blame lay then, on him or on the people who rated him to high? (like me and you). I'm not knocking you, but just saying a lot of time we rag on players because they aren't as good as we hoped. As long as he is working hard to be as best he can, and he does a decent job for my team, I can't hate too much. I think he can get better yet, and compete in World Cups and probably top leagues, but he has to keep at it.
