very sad and emotional. big mistake cutting Ellen out of the show, Courtney Cox just never looked right with Alex.

btw, Elyse was dead on with what she said to Alex, very few people do find it.:(

I understand not wanting the Alex character tied down, as that would limit his story possibilities. But I think it was a HUGE mistake not having Ellen turn up once in a while.

Lauren could never replace Ellen. The series finale would've been happierif Alex and Ellen got married.

This scene is very heartbreaking. I agree that Courtney Cox never looked good with Alex and I hated the character she played, it was like she was trying to be Ellen. In the series finale, Ellen should have come back and Alex should have realized that she was always his true love and proposed.
