Javier Carlos Vázquez (born July 25, 1976 in Ponce, Puerto Rico) is a right-handed starting pitcher who has played for the Chicago White Sox since 2006. Previously, he pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks (2005), New York Yankees (2004) and Montreal Expos (1998-2003). • @thunderstruck665 shut the fuck up asshole are in the mlb no well he is he is not the best pitcher but now in the 2011 won 5 games in a row in the fucking marlins dick

  • I better not see this loser in Yankee pinstripes EVER AGAIN! Hope the Florida Marlins are happy when he's hanging 87 mph fastballs and 78 mph changeups over the heart of the plate that get knocked 450 ft out of the park every other pitch!

  • I would stick with Gardner But i think that Hoffmann isn't ready to be a starter yet, Plus we are taking away alot of homeruns from last year remember? LF is a position where power hitters are.

  • I like David DeJesus from the Royals, but the Yankees would have to throw away prospects. They should stick with Gardner/Hoffman if getting a quality LF comes down to that. It's not like they can't win with a Ricky Ledee kind of LF.

  • Left Field is the number 1# issue. The only option I could find is Rick Ankiel. I want to think through this because since we can't exceed our payroll limit and we can't spend that much because the Mark Teixeira, CC Sabathia, and A.J. Brunett signings, i really don't know what they might do. It's a good thing we willl have much more in the 2010 offseason and which might allow us to get Carl Crawford. right now with the market growing thin I might propose a one year deal with an outfielder.

  • Yes, it will be interesting to watch, that's for sure. It was a solid move for the Yanks, my only concern is LF and who'll they'll get for 2-3 mil a year. That seems to be their plan, but of course, that could change.

  • Well we will see.

  • yup

  • Last year was a career year for Javy, that's why I don't think it'll happen this year. The fact that he'll be playing in Homer Heaven and that he gave up 14 HRs to left-handed hitters last year makes me think that there could potentially be issues with the longball.

  • Well he did it last year why not this year? Even if he is playing in a launching pad of a ballpark and it is the American League.

    You never know.
