West Wichita Hailstorm, 6-9-2011

Two thunderstorms built up to the West and Northwest of the city of Wichita around 7pm on 6-9-2011 and slowly moved East across the city. Both Storms had the potential of producing hail, the one to the NW of the city had a confirmed tornado touchdown. The hailstorm at my house wasn't too bad thankfully; I think it was about 1" in diameter tops. Rain and hail was coming down so hard it was overflowing the guttering.

Note that at the beginning of the video, the hail and rain is coming from the West, that's what drove me back inside the house for a couple of minutes and when I stepped back outside, the storm had moved slightly over my house and the hail was coming more from the East.

There wasn't really any damage at our house, it just knocked leaves off the trees.
