How to fix colour issues in vista and windows 7:
Right click your desktop and open the Screen resolution window,
Leave the window open
Launch the game
It should now have normal colours

For those of you that don't know, AoE did not end with the closing of the old zone in 2006. Thousands of players still enjoy this game daily at voobly.com. Come re-live the game you loved playing at this site.
I also ask that anyone who reads this gives it a thumbs up so that many more will be able to read this and be aware. Let's bring this masterpiece (fully) back to life!

3. Open Age of Empire Conquerors.....Choose the game you wanna play...and when you are already playing....minimize Age of empires and then maximize the window "screen resolution"....maximize Age of empires again and it will be fixed!....

Try this!
1. Change the picture of your desktop background...Try using some picture of yours, but do not use the windows 7 default backgrounds; otherwise it won´t work.
2. Click with the right buttom on your desktop background and pick "screen resolution". Let the window open!

hey, i have same problems with windows7 like crazystick5125. i have just downloaded virtual pc 2007, but i dont know how to "install game inside it". can you tell me how to do it more particularly, please? tnx

@MegaGreenDragons - install virtual pc 2007, open it, make a new virtual machine. select windows xp from the list, ram minimum 256 mb. then start virtual machine, use your windows cd and install windows xp inside that virtual machine. and then install the game like you always do.
